The Moss Park neighbourhood was originally part of a 100 acre Park Lot owned by one of early Toronto's wealthiest citizens in the 1800's. It later became the heart of Toronto's industrial area, home to large factories and the densely packed homes of the workers they employed. Ultimately, Moss Park is now one of Toronto's largest public housing projects. There are three double wing high-rise apartment buildings and one single-tower apartment building, all well set back from the street and surrounded by greenspace and an internal network of roadways.

Moss Park is bounded by Queen Street East on the South, Parliament Street on the East, Shuter Street on the North and Jarvis Street on the West.

1. Schools: Schools within the neighbourhood include St Michaels Choir Jr. & Sr. It is also in close proximity to Voice Intermediate Private School, George Brown College and George Brown @ Ryerson University

2. Food and Restaurants: Popular eateries in this neighbourhood include - Mystic Muffin, Fahrenheit Coffee, Schnitzel Queen, Mengrai Gourmet Thai, George, G for Gelato, and Mengia & Bevi. 

3. Lifestyle and Recreation:  Local shopping are available along Sherbourn and Parliament Streets while Queen Street East offers a mix of local stores as well as deign and decorating stores. Aside from being the name of the neighbourhood, Moss Park is also one of Toronto's larger parks, including a sports field, baseball diamnod, and two tennis courts. Right beside the park is John Innes Community Recreation Centre which is a modern recreational facility featuring an indoor swimming pool, a gymnasium, a running track, a weight room, a cardio room, a games room, a woodworking shop, and a craft room.
