Also known as Northwood Park, the York University Heights neighbourhood is so named because it is where the York University main campus is located. It is popular with Italian and Chinese decents as well as Jamacian, South East Asian and East Indians. Majority of these residents live in high-rise buildings while some also live in detached and semi-detached homes.

This neigbourhood is bounded by the Sheppard Avenue West on the South, Dufferin Street on the East, Steeles Avenue West on the North and the Black Creek Parkland on the West.
